Worn by Leonard Nimoy

These Spock Prime cards are starting to disappear after the OTOY short film unification 765874 that featured a well needed meeting between Kirk and an elderly Spock. This costume relic card CC6 was from the 2009 Star Trek Movie series by Rittenhouse Archives and the reverse of the card says worn by Leonard Nimoy during the filming of the 2009 Star Trek Movie. This was the reboot by JJ Abrams.

Not all costume relic cards say worn, which is way different from the card saying authentic material. Authentic material but not from a worn costume and could be just material scraps or from an unused roll of material.

Trek cards have not yet reached the maturity level of Sport cards but there has been a huge jump in sport jersey card prices that document material cut from a game used jersey – so this is a great opportunity to stay ahead of the game for Star Trek costume relics!

Triangle Security Bits arrived

A major bummer. The triangle shaped tool bits arrived from Amazon. I was able to take off all three of the security screws on the bottom of my Burger King Shuttle Craft but I can’t open it up. The two sides feel like they are snapped in tight together despite taking out the screws. Ugggggg

Can I change the battery in my Burger King Shuttle?

My favorite Burger King collectible is the 2009 Star Trek movie shuttle but I need to change the battery. Thanks Michelle I still have this on my shelf after 13 Years 🙂

No more sound after all these years – I was going to attempt to change the battery but it has the little triangle shaped screws.

I don’t even know if this is the correct size but i just ordered a set of triangle shaped bits on Amazon. I’ll update the post if these fit!

John Cho as Sulu

The Star Trek 2009 Movie has been on my Comcast Cable a lot lately, and thought I’d share an old convention pic. This is John Cho who reprised the role of Sulu. This was at the 2008 WonderCon in San Francisco and what was special about this WonderCon was it was just before the convention circuit went crazy popular. It was the last panel that I was ever able to walk into all the panels without a log wait!
